Tired

I feel so tired today and I am not sure why. I went to sleep at about the same time I normally do last night and slept at least 8 hours. Maybe it is because I skipped breakfast. I know it is the most important meal of the day. I didn't used to eat breakfast at all I made myself start eatting it and that could be it I am used to waking up and eatting and I messed up my schedule today by not eatting.

Booger had a Christmas party at school today . I made cupcakes yesterday so that I wouldn't have to rush around making them today. The Christmas party made me wonder Why can they celebrate Christmas at my sons public school but they are not supposed to have a Halloween party???? I am pretty sure they got into some trouble a few years ago because for field day they opened it up with a prayer by one of the teachers. Yeah I know !! that was wrong and my husband complained to the principal that he didn't appreciate it and our son shouldn't be forced to listen to something like that in a public school. It hasn't happened since then and the teacher who did the prayer has either been fired or has retired I think I heard he was fired for bringing in bibles and passing them out. the person I heard that from couldn't believe that someone could get fired for passing out bibles. I asked him how he would feel if someone from a different religion gave him what ever it was that they follow or tried to preach to him that what he believes is wrong. He just said oh I wouldn't like it.

Sunday my Mom and Dad took us to Universal Studios. For our Christmas present this year they bought us all annual passes. A few months ago my Dad got a Coupon in the mail to get the pass for a really great price. I am very grateful I love theme parks but it is so expensive to get in. Universal is great because they have a meal plan you can buy and it makes food not so expensive and a cup that you can buy that has free refills you really can't beat that. The cup is only 8.99 to begin with. I even got to meet up with a girl I have been talking to online for the past 5 years or so. That was very neat.


My husband got word on his next shift since he got his promotion. Unfortunately it is not the shift he wanted but he is going to have to deal with it for now. He will be working 4pm to midnight. We were hoping he could get the midnight to 8am shift because then I could have an easier time finding a job. I am hoping that next year during the summer I can get all of the stuff I need to get done so I can become a sub at the Elementary school done.

ugh

HA ha didn't know what to title this post so that was it. This post is about my hair. I used to dye it all of the time but when money started getting tight I quit. My hair got healthier which I liked but I really want to cut off all of the ends to get rid of the dyed parts. I have kept my curly hair shoulder length for the most part since high school. This August though while taking my son to get his hair cut I decided I wanted something shorter so I talked to the stylist about what I wanted and how I did my hair every day. She told me what she though would look good on my face and would fit into my lifestyle. I told her to go for it I figure if I don't like it I can wear a handkerchief and grow my hair out. I loved it the only down side is that I need to get it cut a lot more than I am used to. I save money on shampoo and conditioner but I have to spend that on cutting and unfortunantly I can always put off getting my hair cut if I need the money for something else. It is time to get my hair cut (If you couldn't tell) Money at the moment is going toward Gifts for Booger and everyone else. Hubby does get a pay check on Wed and I am going to go get my hair done and don't care if someone doesn't get the gift of their dreams from us. I do put a lot of thought into someones gift even if I can only spend a dollar ( maybe more so when I don't have a lot of money) I feel very fluffy right now and it needs to be calmed down besides I love letting someone else wash my hair feels so nice Merry Christmas, Happy Yule to me.

Good news!

It feels like everything has been going down hill when it comes to finances this last half of the year but We got some good news on monday. My husband has been promoted. I don't really think he thought he would get it but last friday someone said I bet you my next pay check that you got it that made J very happy because this person knows what is going on. It looks like the change will happen in two weeks. :) :) :) :)

Thanksgiving

Was good. I made mashed Potatoes and a banana pudding ( Instead of nilla wafers I used Nutter Butter Cookies Yum YUM) . My Mom made Turkey, Mac and Cheese, cheesey broccoli rice, and a few other things. One of my Aunts made her Chinese Chewies. and other relatives brought all kinds of things. My Mom made a fire outside because it was such a nice day outside and the fire provided some warmth (for my feet) if someone got too chilly . I took Booger to the skate park after everyone had left because I thought it might be not as full of kids as a normal day. He had fun and there wasn't too many kids there. He is new to skateboarding so he fell

Long time no blog :(

Not much has been going on around me or in my life. a few weeks ago hubby got sick and then so did I. It was mostly in our sinuses and ear infections and a bit of a sore throaght. Hubby was put on bed rest so that he wouldn't have to go to work and so he could rest. I was just told to take it easy. Being sick this time really knocked me down hard all I wanted to do was sleep I could barely make myself get up to go pick my son up from school. Booger thankfully never caught it and now everyone is better. YEAH!!!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving.I will be going next door to my Mom's house and will eat with my Dad's side of the family. I guess my Mom's side of my Family is planning to get together for Thanksgiving and Christmas sometime in January and it will be at my Mom's house. Sounds good to me because that gives me more time to finish helping my Mom sew all the blankets we are making the kids this year. We were going to go up to see J's sister and kids and his Mom but I don't trust my Dad's truck and if something happened to it we would have to pay to bring it back home. So SIL said we will just plan to get together next year then. Haha that gives me a lot more time to shop for them yeah!

As for Christmas shopping . I am almost done for Booger anyways. I just want to get a couple of games for his PSP and maybe one or two for the Wii. I have no clue what to get my Mom and Dad this year . I think my brother is getting a alcohol decanter with glasses. and my other Brother I don't know I may ask him what he needs for the house he is renting.

Day 24

Halloween things!

Just a few things I have been working on . Must give lots of credit to my Mom with out her I probably wouldn't have even tried to make these things and I would have been decorationless again this year.

First is my wreath ( I posted it up once before but wanted to show it again)

Next is a spider egg that has just hatched. This was lots of fun to make. My son has started one but we had to let it dry a little bit longer than the rest so I will show it after he finishes it.


I actually made a few of those but that one was my Favorite!

Most of the things inside the house will actually get moved outside when halloween gets here I just don't want everything getting wet when it rains or getting blown away when the wind gets hard. Well that has just been a few of the crafts I have done and decorations I have put up. I know there will be more crafts because I have seen other things on Different sites I want to do.

What a Day! :) :(

Today was My 8 year anniversary of being Married to my Hubby J . I love You J!!!

OK on to the bad stuff. well maybe not bad but frustrating for me none the less. The house that J and I live in belonged to my grandmother and had been put into my Dad's name a long time ago along with about 5 acres of land ( all of my Granny's kids got 5 acres when she split up the land she owned) almost 8 years ago my granny died of cancer and my Mom and Dad asked If I would like to have the house with about an acre of land. J and I had been having money problems while trying to buy the house we were in (we both worked in a BBQ restaurant me a waitress him working short order cook) so we decided we would take it and rent the house out. We moved in and it has been a lot of problems one being all of the work that needs to be done to it so it will be a nice house. Two being that my parents live next door.

There is a spot to the side of the house where my Granny planted all kinds of things and while she was sick everything was allowed to get over grown well here it is 8 years later and the only other house on the street the guy is out of work and started coming over and cleaning it up for us J goes out before he goes to work and this week He has been out there all day because he took the week off. One of the reasons I have never started is that my Mom will fight you tooth and nail if you dig up a plant she wants or thinks belongs in a spot. Today it was azalea bushes that were way over grown and not in the best of places for J and I. J dug one up and my mom threw a fit saying he had no business digging them up they need to stay where they are. Pandora's box is what I said about the whole thing the first day G was out there. there is also an old play house with lots of old JUNK but J and G haven't begun going through what is in it so that my Mom can make up her mind on whether she wants anything out of it or not ( she can be a big Pack rat sometimes). She was over today but after the whole azalea thing I went into the house and got away from her. I will have to ask J if she is going to go through the play house or not. G's wife came over also and said you are damned if you do and damned if you don't and that is right either we have to hear about how over grown it is or about us getting rid of something my Mom thinks belongs in one certain spot. then G's wife said cut them all the way down to the ground.

I am all for flowers and things growing but I do think everything should have a place and be done in a way that everything blends nicely and looks nice and something that will be easy for me to take care of. I have been thinking about researching plants that are native to my area and doing something with that but I also want a picnic area out there because it would be right under an old oak tree that I love. I want it to be very peaceful something for me and My Family to enjoy.

Bowling

Saturday Night J and I took Booger Extreme Bowling He had a blast. One of my Brothers came along also . The men bowled on a regular lane and Booger and I bumper Bowled. What a fun time . I wished I would have brought a camera to show some of the stuff Booger did after he knocked down pins he was Hilarious. We plan to go back again in about two weeks depending on the funding.

I am kind of sore today though. My hand and wrist mostly but my lower back is just a tiny bit sore. I would do it again though tomorrow if I could just to watch Booger having Fun.

Not much happened today. After J ( My Hubby) went to work I took a shower and got ready to pick Booger up from school . Went and actually picked him up and brought him home so he could get a snack and something to eat and I was going too take him to town with me because I had to run a few errands but my Mom was home and said he could stay with her. So I had a nice quiet ride to town and back got to walk around the grocery store with out someone else throwing things we don't need into the cart ( J, Booger, J being the biggest offender) . Stopped at the Dollar tree My mom gave me some money so I could pick up a few Halloween items ( they actually have some nice stuff this year if you watch what you are buying) . Lastly I cam home and My Mom had dinner made at her house so we ate over there and now I am home. I am about to clean out the fridge and sweep and mop the floor.

Weekend

What a weekend it had its ups and downs but mostly there was just Drama.last weekend My Hubsters decided he wanted to go visit his sister (only a 4Hour drive away) we weren't sure when we were going to be able to make it up there since his car is Down for the count and he is borrowing my Dad's old truck. Hubby talked to his Mom and she said oh I want to go up there I am free this weekend we can take my car and I will pay for gas ok sounds great makes the trip even cheaper for us. MIL is single now so she spent the entire weekend up on their computer on singles sites and texting other singles while we were up there so didn't see her much at all not sure why she wanted to go visit someone if she wasn't going to visit them if you know what I mean.

My MIL got on my Husbands nerves also. Once when the kids were all sitting down to eat she tried to tell my son that he had to pray to god for his meal. Now I have no problem with Booger sitting there and being quiet while the other kids prayed since that is how they are being raised but Don't make mine do it just because you think he should. She also brought presents for SIL's Boys but nothing for David.That didn't really Bother me what bothers me is that we live about an hour away from her and we invited her over for a family cook out for Booger's Birthday but she declined to come but I learned that she has drove the 4 hour drive to be at every one of SIL's boys Birthdays. I don't want her to spend all of her money on Booger but please treat him the way you treat your other grandsons he deserves that much. All though sometimes I wonder if it is me she has the problem with because she tries to punish David while I am right there and I have told her a few times not to he is my responsibility not yours. I am not her Daughter I will not let her take control of my Son while I am there.

Today I will be decluttering around the TV . We have one of those older big screen tv's and what we have been using to keep all of the electronics on is actually a metal closet organizer. My though of the idea and it works and looks pretty good also with out spending lots of money on a center made for it. I need to dust it and get rid of some things then I will move into the dining room where I have a 5 shelf metal storage rack that really needs help.I bought it for storage but it just doesn't look right when everyone just piles things onto it. My job is to put some order into the storage so it looks somewhat pleasing to the eye. then sweep and mop the floors.

So far this has been a lazy week ( although I should be cleaning right now) I am working in the bedroom this week I want to get rid of all the old clothes that are either too holey to wear or just plain don't fit me any more. I have a big box in the bottom of my closet that has been sitting there since I moved into my house 7 years ago that I never went through. I feel so cluttered right now that it isn't funny. I think that may be one reason why I am not sleeping right at night. I got rid of some stuff that has just been in the room yesterday and I can feel the difference already. also trying to declutter the living/dining room. I hope to have it done by Friday since we are having a minivacation this weekend. Nothing special just going up to see Hubby's Sister and her Family.


I have started trying to follow flylady.net she is about taking things slow since you didn't put all of the clutter into your house in one daywhy should you have to take it all out in one day. I just have to speed up her pace a bit since my mother in law will be coming to the house on Friday
night maybe to stay the night.



Well I had better go get back to work then I may have time to get down and play with the ferrets before I have to pick up my little Booger Butt ( My son).
