Me

So still not much going on in my regular life. My car has been parked for a while I have just been waiting on my hubby to figure out what is wrong with it or decide he was done with it so we can have it towed somewhere. well today he stopped in at a garage and talked to them so I think he is done and we will be bringing it in on Monday. The bad news is that when he was talking to them they think it is either the timing chain which will take a while to get the engine out so will take money to fix because they charge by the hour or it is a simple fix in which the part will be expensive so either way it will cost us some money I guess.

Today in Central Florida it is a really nice day. I think just ten more degrees cooler and it would be really perfect. I am not sweating to death today so I am happy. I wonder how long this will last though. I imagine in the next couple of days we will be back to our humid hot days not looking forward to that though.

Well..........

My other Laptop really never recovered so getting online was kind of hard to do on a regular basis. I have a new laptop now and I don't have to share it !!!! the hubby has his own laptop also.

So you may ask what have you been up to in the just about year I have been gone. I would have to answer not much really. I have a very boring life I try to keep as much drama out as I can because I have found I stress very easily.

I have started sewing. I started out making hammocks for my ferrets and now I am making my Halloween costume. My mom is helping me since I am still pretty new to sewing. I also taught myself to knit just a little bit. I can get started and do the basic stitches, now I just have to practice, practice, practice. It is too hot right now for yarn work but once it cools down I think I will start some washrags and go between crocheting and knitting some.

Hubby got a new job recently. It pays better and he is happier than he was at his last job. It is a little bit farther away but he carpools with another guy who lives near us. that really works out for the both of them money wise( hubby pays for some of the gas) . I am happy because it uses less gas than if they were to both drive their trucks since they are taking the others guy's, Wife's car which gets the best gas mileage of the vehicles.

I have been thinking about Homeschooling the booger. I just don't know what to do with him when it comes to his schoolwork. His teachers say he is really well behaved in class but he doesn't finish his work. I know he is doing the same thing there that he does with the homework they send home which is he just sits there looking like he is doing something when he isn't I think if I taught him I could switch things up for him and maybe make them a bit more interesting but I am scared of not teaching enough or not teaching him the right stuff. I have done a lot of research and I know I could do it but there is just that little part of me that keeps me from sending in that letter of intent and doing it. I have talked to hubby and he is behind me no matter what I decide but the plan for now is to let him finish the semester at his school and when it comes time for winter vacation if he is still not getting work done then I will write the letter and have it in so he won't go back to school after the break I will be able to just jump right into homeschooling.

I honestly think that is about all that has been going on in my life since my last post. Sad I know but it is the way I like it.

I am back!!!!

My laptop crashed a week or so ago so I had to wait for some new memory cards to come in. It looks like we will have to buy a new wireless card also because it doesn't seem to be working but at least I can connect to the internet now.!!!!!!

With out the internet I have been busy crocheting Tawashis and other kitchen stuff. I will have to get some pictures taken and see if I can't track down all of the websites with the patterns so I can give credit to the pattern writers.

Tired

I feel so tired today and I am not sure why. I went to sleep at about the same time I normally do last night and slept at least 8 hours. Maybe it is because I skipped breakfast. I know it is the most important meal of the day. I didn't used to eat breakfast at all I made myself start eatting it and that could be it I am used to waking up and eatting and I messed up my schedule today by not eatting.

Booger had a Christmas party at school today . I made cupcakes yesterday so that I wouldn't have to rush around making them today. The Christmas party made me wonder Why can they celebrate Christmas at my sons public school but they are not supposed to have a Halloween party???? I am pretty sure they got into some trouble a few years ago because for field day they opened it up with a prayer by one of the teachers. Yeah I know !! that was wrong and my husband complained to the principal that he didn't appreciate it and our son shouldn't be forced to listen to something like that in a public school. It hasn't happened since then and the teacher who did the prayer has either been fired or has retired I think I heard he was fired for bringing in bibles and passing them out. the person I heard that from couldn't believe that someone could get fired for passing out bibles. I asked him how he would feel if someone from a different religion gave him what ever it was that they follow or tried to preach to him that what he believes is wrong. He just said oh I wouldn't like it.

Sunday my Mom and Dad took us to Universal Studios. For our Christmas present this year they bought us all annual passes. A few months ago my Dad got a Coupon in the mail to get the pass for a really great price. I am very grateful I love theme parks but it is so expensive to get in. Universal is great because they have a meal plan you can buy and it makes food not so expensive and a cup that you can buy that has free refills you really can't beat that. The cup is only 8.99 to begin with. I even got to meet up with a girl I have been talking to online for the past 5 years or so. That was very neat.


My husband got word on his next shift since he got his promotion. Unfortunately it is not the shift he wanted but he is going to have to deal with it for now. He will be working 4pm to midnight. We were hoping he could get the midnight to 8am shift because then I could have an easier time finding a job. I am hoping that next year during the summer I can get all of the stuff I need to get done so I can become a sub at the Elementary school done.

ugh

HA ha didn't know what to title this post so that was it. This post is about my hair. I used to dye it all of the time but when money started getting tight I quit. My hair got healthier which I liked but I really want to cut off all of the ends to get rid of the dyed parts. I have kept my curly hair shoulder length for the most part since high school. This August though while taking my son to get his hair cut I decided I wanted something shorter so I talked to the stylist about what I wanted and how I did my hair every day. She told me what she though would look good on my face and would fit into my lifestyle. I told her to go for it I figure if I don't like it I can wear a handkerchief and grow my hair out. I loved it the only down side is that I need to get it cut a lot more than I am used to. I save money on shampoo and conditioner but I have to spend that on cutting and unfortunantly I can always put off getting my hair cut if I need the money for something else. It is time to get my hair cut (If you couldn't tell) Money at the moment is going toward Gifts for Booger and everyone else. Hubby does get a pay check on Wed and I am going to go get my hair done and don't care if someone doesn't get the gift of their dreams from us. I do put a lot of thought into someones gift even if I can only spend a dollar ( maybe more so when I don't have a lot of money) I feel very fluffy right now and it needs to be calmed down besides I love letting someone else wash my hair feels so nice Merry Christmas, Happy Yule to me.

Good news!

It feels like everything has been going down hill when it comes to finances this last half of the year but We got some good news on monday. My husband has been promoted. I don't really think he thought he would get it but last friday someone said I bet you my next pay check that you got it that made J very happy because this person knows what is going on. It looks like the change will happen in two weeks. :) :) :) :)

Thanksgiving

Was good. I made mashed Potatoes and a banana pudding ( Instead of nilla wafers I used Nutter Butter Cookies Yum YUM) . My Mom made Turkey, Mac and Cheese, cheesey broccoli rice, and a few other things. One of my Aunts made her Chinese Chewies. and other relatives brought all kinds of things. My Mom made a fire outside because it was such a nice day outside and the fire provided some warmth (for my feet) if someone got too chilly . I took Booger to the skate park after everyone had left because I thought it might be not as full of kids as a normal day. He had fun and there wasn't too many kids there. He is new to skateboarding so he fell

Long time no blog :(

Not much has been going on around me or in my life. a few weeks ago hubby got sick and then so did I. It was mostly in our sinuses and ear infections and a bit of a sore throaght. Hubby was put on bed rest so that he wouldn't have to go to work and so he could rest. I was just told to take it easy. Being sick this time really knocked me down hard all I wanted to do was sleep I could barely make myself get up to go pick my son up from school. Booger thankfully never caught it and now everyone is better. YEAH!!!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving.I will be going next door to my Mom's house and will eat with my Dad's side of the family. I guess my Mom's side of my Family is planning to get together for Thanksgiving and Christmas sometime in January and it will be at my Mom's house. Sounds good to me because that gives me more time to finish helping my Mom sew all the blankets we are making the kids this year. We were going to go up to see J's sister and kids and his Mom but I don't trust my Dad's truck and if something happened to it we would have to pay to bring it back home. So SIL said we will just plan to get together next year then. Haha that gives me a lot more time to shop for them yeah!

As for Christmas shopping . I am almost done for Booger anyways. I just want to get a couple of games for his PSP and maybe one or two for the Wii. I have no clue what to get my Mom and Dad this year . I think my brother is getting a alcohol decanter with glasses. and my other Brother I don't know I may ask him what he needs for the house he is renting.
